Accessing your 123net Voicemail Box

Description:

The following article contains information and instructions for accessing 123Net Voicemail. These instructions can be used to access your voicemail on your assigned 123net phone/softphone or from another 123Net phone. This can be used for managing messages (if they don't go to your email) and modifying existing recordings on the desired extension.

Note: If your voicemails come to your email they should not go to your 123net voicemail box as well. In the event that they are, reach out to the helpdesk at whhelpdesk@med.wayne.edu or 313-448-9999 and let them know, along with your extension.

Instructions:

Note: This can only be completed using an existing 123Net phone or softphone.

  1. Dial *98
  2. Enter the extension followed by "#".
  3. Enter the password of the extension. (Contact the Helpdesk at 313-448-9999 if password is not known)
  4. Once logged in, you can access the voicemail system normally.

Notes:

  • Pressing option "0" inside of the voicemail system will enter the system settings allowing the greetings and password to be changed.
  • There are two greetings that should be changed:
    • The "Unavailable" greeting is used as the general greeting for someone leaving a message. This plays when the lines rings a few times and no one answers.
    • The "Busy" greeting is used when a person is currently on a phone call. This generally is set to a greeting that indicates the person is in the office, but just unavailable or on another call.
