Installing 123Net Softphone on your Wayne Health PC

The following instructions detail how to install the softphone application from 123Net on a Windows based computer.

Note: The use of this software requires a softphone account provided by Wayne Health IT. If you need an account you will need to have your manager contact the helpdesk at whhelpdesk@med.wayne.edu or 313-448-9999


Instructions:

  1. If you do not already see the 123net shortcut on your desktop click on your Start Menu at the bottom right
  2. In the search type Software then click on Software Center
  3. Once the Software Center opens you can type 123net into the search bar at the top right and hit Enter
  4. Click on 123Net Softphone
  5. Click Install
  6. Once the installer finishes, click Finish
  7. Locate the 123Net Softphone Icon on the desktop of the computer and double click to open the program.
  8. Enter your email and password provided to you from WH IT Helpdesk, the email will be titled "Access to Work Phone using Softphone App"
    1. I recommend checking the option Remember sign in information so you don't have to put your username and password in every time
    2. You can also check the option Sign in Automatically if you would like so the app automatically signs in when you launch it
  9. Click on Sign In
  10. When/if prompted to enter a License Key, enter 1800DHPCN31YDYT89MP3N0201 it into the Top field and click “Add” then click Done.

  11. Once logged in, you will see a number pad. You can use the pad to dial out.
