This article provides instructions for sending attachments too large to send within Outlook.
Instructions:
- Open a web browser and navigate to https://connect.wayne.edu and log in with your Access ID & the associated password.
-
Once logged in, click on the multiple dots in the top left corner to show the Apps List.
- Select "Onedrive"
-
Once there, you will want to upload your file into OneDrive.
You can do this by selecting Upload at the top and browsing for the file, or
simply clicking on and dragging the file onto the OneDrive page.
-
Once your file has been copied to the OneDrive, click on the
file to highlight it. Then select Share at the top.
-
This will bring up a box to where you can type the person's
name or email whom you wish to share the file with.
- Type in their name and it will search the address book.
-
After you put their name in, simply press Send.
-
This will send an email with a link to follow to their
OneDrive, where they will be able to access the document under the Shared with
me section.
- The receiving user should be able to open the file in their web browser (depending on file type), or highlight the file, and then select Download at the top. This will download the file to their Downloads folder on that specific computer.
- With OneDrive, these files can be accessed from any computer by simply logging into https://connect.wayne.edu. However, if any changes are made to the file on your specific machine, you will have to re-upload the file to OneDrive so that you or whomever you share the file with can see the most up to date version.
